Gir Somnath

Gir Somnath district is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is named after the famous Gir Forest National Park, which is home to the Asiatic lions. The district is situated in the southwestern part of Gujarat and has a rich cultural and historical heritage.
Gir Somnath district covers an area of approximately 1,642 square kilometers and is bordered by the Arabian Sea to the south and Junagadh district to the west. The district headquarters is located in the town of Veraval.
