Ameen Peer Dargah
Ameen Peer Dargah, also known as Asthana-e-Mugdoom Illahi Dargah Complex, is a revered Sufi shrine located in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Popularly referred to as "Badi Dargah" or "Pedda Dargah," it holds deep spiritual significance and is believed to fulfill the wishes of devotees who visit the site.
Established in 1683, the dargah serves as the resting place of two Sufi saints, Perullah Hussaini and Arufulla Hussaini II, who were devoted followers of Prophet Mohammed. Their teachings and miraculous deeds have contributed to the dargah’s reputation as a place of divine blessings.
The dargah is an embodiment of the principle of "Oneness of God," welcoming people from all religions and backgrounds. It has played a crucial role in the historical development of Kadapa, with the then Nawab of Sidhout Taluk, Nawab Nek Nam Khan, renaming the area to Neknamabaad on the advice of Perullah Hussaini, which later became Kadapa.
The site continues to attract devotees, celebrities, and politicians, reinforcing its status as a spiritual landmark.
