BadKhal Lake
Badkhal Lake, located in Badkhal village near Faridabad, Haryana, was once a natural lake fringed by the hills of the Aravalli Range. The lake was created by constructing a man-made embankment to trap runoff for irrigation. Unfortunately, due to unchecked mining in the neighboring areas, the lake began to dry up two decades ago and is now completely dried up.
Despite the lake's current state, the area remains a popular spot for visitors. The Haryana Tourism Corporation maintains functional restaurants in the vicinity, and a flower show is held every spring. The lake is also part of the Northern Aravalli leopard wildlife corridor, which stretches from Sariska Tiger Reserve to Delhi.
