Chadva Rakhal is a privately-managed nature reserve located in the Kutch hinterland, about 25 kilometers southwest of Bhuj. Spanning over 12,792 acres, the reserve is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tropical thorn forests, rocky hilltops, and Pragsar Lake, which was conceived and inaugurated in 1870 by Maharao Pragmalji II.
The lake supports a rich biodiversity, including over 250 mugger crocodiles, more than 200 species of birds, and various mammal species such as hyenas, ratels, desert cats, and leopards. The reserve also features an exotic orchard with tamarind, chikoo, date, and ficus trees, providing a green oasis in the arid landscape.
