Haleshwar Sthan is a renowned Hindu pilgrimage site located in Sitamarhi, Bihar. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this ancient temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples in northern India. It is situated approximately 3 kilometers northwest of Sitamarhi town.
According to legend, the temple was built by King Videha of the Ramayana period on the occasion of the Putra Yeshti Yajna. The temple is known for its stone Shivalinga seated in the sanctum, and it attracts millions of devotees every year.
