Indradamneshwar Mahadev Mandir ( Ashokdham)
The Indradamneshwar Mahadev Mandir, also known as Ashokdham Mandir, is located in the Lakhisarai district of Bihar. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is part of a larger temple complex. The temple gained prominence when a giant Shivlingam was discovered beneath the ground by a boy named Ashok while playing a traditional game called Gilli-danda on April 7, 1977.
The temple complex was restructured and inaugurated by the Shankaracharya of Jagannathpuri on February 11, 1993. The complex includes temples dedicated to Goddess Parvati, Nandi, and Goddess Durga.
It is a popular pilgrimage site, especially during Maha Shivaratri, when thousands of devotees visit to offer prayers and sacred water from the Ganges.
