Laxmi Narayan Mandir
Laxmi Narayan Mandir, located near the bus stand in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort, Goddess Lakshmi. Built in the Shikhar Shaily style of architecture, the temple features stunning idols of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, Lord Ranganath, and Baba Bangali. The temple is made of white marble with red brick door frames and has five golden-colored peaks on top.
The original Laxmi Narayan Temple was submerged in the Gobind Sagar Lake after the construction of the Bhakra Dam. The idols, including that of Lord Ranganath, were moved to the new temple. The temple is a peaceful retreat with a spacious courtyard, wrought iron seats, and grass lawns.
It is a popular destination for devotees and tourists alike, especially during festivals like Janmashtami and Shivratri.
