Parang La is a high mountain pass located at an elevation of 5,600 meters (18,370 feet) in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It connects the Spiti Valley with the Zanskar region of Ladakh and was once an ancient trade route between Spiti, Changthang, and Tibet. The pass is part of a challenging trek that offers trekkers a unique Trans-Himalayan experience, traversing from the Zanskar range to the Great Himalayan range.
The trek to Parang La is known for its stunning landscapes, including high mountain arid terrains, rocky cliffs, wide valleys, and patches of greenery. The trail starts from Tso Moriri Lake in Ladakh and ends in Kibber or Kaza in Spiti.
