Shahi Burj
The Shahi Burj, also known as the Emperor's Tower, is a three-storey octagonal tower located in the Red Fort in Central Delhi, Delhi. It was one of Shah Jahan's favorite workplaces, from where he planned the running of his empire. The tower is situated at the northeastern corner of the imperial enclosure and features a hydraulic system that channels water from the river into various buildings of the fort.
Adjacent to the Shahi Burj is a white marble pavilion constructed during Aurangzeb's rule, which features five arches supported on fluted columns. The pavilion also has a marble cascade sloping into a scalloped basin. The tower and pavilion have undergone renovation work over the years and are currently closed to the public.
