The Sujata Stupa, also known as Sujata Kuti Stupa, is a Buddhist stupa located in the village of Senanigrama (Bakraur), slightly east of Bodh Gaya in Bihar. It lies directly across the Phalgu River from Bodh Gaya, where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.
The stupa is dedicated to Sujata, a milkmaid who is believed to have offered Buddha milk and rice, breaking his seven years of fasting and asceticism, which ultimately led to his enlightenment. The stupa was initially built in the 2nd century BCE and has been reinforced and enlarged several times over the centuries.
