Built with yellow stones, the temple was erected by Raoji Aapaji Deewan during the reign of Shri Govindrao Gaekwad over 200 years ago. One of the unique features of the temple is that it was constructed in a way that the morning rays of the sun directly enter the temple, illuminating the sanctum.
