Davangere is a district located in the state of Karnataka, India. It is situated in the central part of the state and is known for its rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and agricultural significance.

Davangere district spans an area of approximately 5,924 square kilometers and is bordered by six other districts: Chitradurga to the southeast, Bellary to the northeast, Haveri to the west, Shimoga to the southwest, and Chikmagalur and Uttara Kannada to the northwest.
