Kurukshetra is a district located in the state of Haryana, India. It is named after the ancient town of Kurukshetra, which holds immense historical and religious significance in Hindu mythology and the epic Mahabharata. The district is situated in the northern part of Haryana and is bordered by the districts of Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, and Yamunanagar.
Kurukshetra has a rich cultural and historical heritage. According to mythology, it is believed to be the place where the famous battle of Mahabharata took place between the Pandavas and the Kauravas.
