Tapi district, formerly known as Vyara, is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is situated in the southern part of the state and is one of the 33 districts in Gujarat. The district headquarters is Vyara, which is also the largest town in the district.

Tapi district shares its borders with the districts of Nandurbar and Dhule in Maharashtra to the east, Navsari and Surat districts to the south, and Narmada district to the west. The district is named after the Tapi River, which flows through the region.
