Bajali district is located in the state of Assam, India. It was officially formed on 10th March 2021, after being carved out from the Barpeta district. Bajali district is situated in the lower Assam region and is bordered by Barpeta district to the west, Nalbari district to the north, Kamrup district to the east, and the Brahmaputra River to the south.

The district headquarters of Bajali is located in Pathsala, which is a prominent town in the region. The area is predominantly rural, with agriculture being the main occupation of the people. Paddy, jute, mustard, and vegetables are some of the major crops cultivated in the district.
