Kushinagar, also known as Padrauna, is a district in the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) in India. It is located in the eastern part of UP and is known for its historical and religious significance. Kushinagar holds great importance for Buddhists as it is believed to be the place where Gautama Buddha attained Parinirvana, the final state of enlightenment, and passed away. The district attracts numerous Buddhist pilgrims from around the world who come to pay their respects and visit the various Buddhist sites.
