Lepa Rada district is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in northeastern India. It is one of the districts that make up the larger West Siang district. The district was officially established on 21st December 2020, making it one of the newest districts in Arunachal Pradesh.

Lepa Rada district is situated in the remote and hilly region of the state, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and natural beauty. The district shares its borders with the Upper Subansiri district to the east, Lower Subansiri district to the south, and the international border with China's Tibet Autonomous Region to the north.
