Namsai is a district located in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is situated in the eastern part of the state, bordering the country of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). Namsai district was officially created on 1st June 2014, when it was carved out from the Lohit district.

Namsai is known for its scenic beauty, rich cultural heritage, and diverse ethnic communities. The district is home to several tribes, including the Tai Khampti, Tai Phake, and Singpho communities. These communities have their unique traditions, languages, and festivals that add to the cultural vibrancy of Namsai.
