North Tripura district is one of the eight districts in the state of Tripura, India. It is located in the northeastern part of the country. The district is bordered by the Indian state of Assam to the north, the state of Mizoram to the east, and the districts of Unakoti and Dhalai to the south and west, respectively.

North Tripura district covers an area of approximately 2,821 square kilometers and has a population of around 7.74 lakhs (as per the 2011 census). The district is divided into three sub-divisions: Dharmanagar, Kanchanpur, and Panisagar. The administrative headquarters of the district is in Dharmanagar, which is also the largest town in the district.
