South East Delhi
South East Delhi, Delhi (DL), India
South East Delhi is an administrative district of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, carved out in 2012. It is bordered by South Delhi district to the west, Faridabad district of Haryana to the south, the Yamuna River to the east, and New Delhi and East Delhi districts to the north.
The district covers an area of about 102 square kilometers and is divided into three administrative subdivisions: Defence Colony (the district headquarters), Kalkaji, and Sarita Vihar. South East Delhi is a vibrant mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas with upscale neighborhoods like Greater Kailash, Defence Colony, New Friends Colony, and Sarita Vihar. It includes important landmarks such as the Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Tughlaqabad Fort, and the Okhla Bird Sanctuary.
The area is also known for key commercial hubs like Nehru Place and Lajpat Nagar markets, along with major malls such as Select Citywalk.
