The Bhagalpur Museum, located in Bhagalpur, Bihar, is a treasure trove of historical and cultural artifacts. Established on November 11, 1976, the museum showcases a diverse collection of items that span various periods of Indian history, from the Maurya to the Mughal era. Its exhibits include ancient coins, manuscripts, terracotta items, and sculptures, many of which date back to the 6th and 7th centuries. 

Notable artifacts include statues of Lord Ganesha, idols of Mahishasurmardini, and a unique figurine of Buddha in the Dharamchakrapravartanmudra pose.

The museum also features Madhubani-style paintings and black stone carvings from the Buddhist period, reflecting the region's artistic heritage.
