Bhim Pakora is a unique and intriguing spot located near Lansdowne in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. It features two large stones balanced precariously on top of each other.
The top stone can be moved with a single finger but never falls down, even when pushed with both hands. This natural balancing act is what gives the place its name, "Bhim Pakora," as it resembles a pakora (a popular Indian snack) with one piece balanced on top of the other.
The site is located about 2 kilometers from the main Lansdowne city center and can be reached by trekking downhill on a rough path through the forest.
According to local legends, the Pandavas from the Mahabharata epic once stayed here during their exile, and Bhima, known for his immense strength, placed one rock on top of the other.
