Catherine Waterfalls, also known as St. Catherine Falls, is a stunning two-step waterfall located in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, near Kotagiri. The falls are named after the wife of M.D. Cockburn, who introduced coffee plantations to the area. The upper falls are considered the second highest in the region, cascading down from a height of 250 feet (76 meters).
The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and tea plantations, making it a picturesque spot for nature lovers. Visitors can hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view, but it's recommended to carry snacks and water as there are no food stalls nearby.
