Choolannur Pea Fowl Sanctuary, locally known as Mayiladumpara, is located in Chulanur village in Palakkad district, Kerala. Established in 2007, it is Kerala's only peafowl sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation of the Indian peafowl and other bird species within its 3.42 square kilometers of dry deciduous forest and scrubland. The sanctuary is named in memory of Induchoodan, a noted Indian ornithologist and writer.
