Cubbon Park
Cubbon Park, officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Park, is a landmark in Bengaluru, located in the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. Originally created in 1870 under Major General Richard Sankey, then British Chief Engineer of Mysore State, it covered an area of 100 acres.
Over the years, the park has expanded and now covers about 250 acres, featuring around 6,000 plants of various species. The park is home to several buildings, statues, museums, and an aquarium, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The lush greenery and well-maintained walking paths provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city life, and it's a favorite spot for morning walkers and nature enthusiasts.
The park is open to the public from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on all days except Mondays and second Tuesdays of every month.
