Devigarh, also known as Delwara Fort Palace, is a historic hilltop fort palace near Udaipur in Rajasthan, originally built in the 1760s under Rajrana Sajja Singh II, a lieutenant of the legendary Maharana Pratap.
The seven-storeyed structure exemplifies traditional Rajasthani architecture and was constructed using locally mined marble. After falling into ruin, the palace was restored over 15 years from 1984 by the Poddar industrial family with the help of architect Gautam Bhatia and designer Rajiv Saini, who blended Rajput motifs with a minimalist modern style to convert it into a luxury heritage hotel.
Nestled in the Aravalli hills overlooking the village of Delwara, Devigarh today offers exquisite suites, a spa, and Ayurvedic retreat facilities, known for its seamless fusion of royal heritage and contemporary design.
