Ellis Bridge is a historic bridge in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, connecting the eastern and western parts of the city across the Sabarmati River. Originally built in 1892, it was the first bridge in Ahmedabad and was constructed as a bowstring arch truss bridge.
The bridge was later reinforced with concrete wings on either side in 1997 and renamed Swami Vivekananda Bridge. It has played a significant role in the city's development, linking the old walled city to newer areas and serving as a symbol of Ahmedabad’s heritage.
