Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam (IIIT‑Kottayam or IIITK), located at Valavoor, Pala, Kottayam district, Kerala, is a public–private‑partnership engineering institute established in 2015 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and later declared an “Institute of National Importance” under the IIIT (PPP) Act of 2017.
It operates on a 53‑acre scenic campus in the hilly, green region of southern Kerala, funded jointly by the Government of India, the Government of Kerala, and industry partners such as CIAL and the Rolta Foundation.
The institute offers undergraduate programmes like B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, along with M.Tech, integrated M.Tech, and PhD programmes, with admissions mainly through JEE Main for UG and GATE for PG courses.
