Built in 1528-1529, the mosque is dedicated to Shaikh Fazlullah, also known as Shaikh Jamali Kamboh, a revered Sufi saint and poet who lived during the Lodi and Mughal dynasties.
The tomb adjacent to the mosque houses Jamali and Kamali, though Kamali's identity remains a mystery, with historians speculating that he was either a disciple, companion, or family member of Jamali. The mosque is constructed using red sandstone and marble, showcasing intricate Mughal-era architecture.
