Jatar Deul is an ancient temple located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, specifically in the village of Kanakan Dighi, near Raidighi. This temple, dating back to the 10th or 11th century, is built in the Kalinga architectural style and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The temple stands on a small hill and is known for its impressive brick structure, which towers nearly 100 feet above the ground.

The entrance of the temple faces east and features a pointed arch, while the interior is about 10 feet square with walls approximately 10 feet thick. Despite its grandeur, the exact purpose of the temple remains a matter of conjecture, with some historians believing it may have originally been a Buddhist structure.
