The Khasi Heritage Village is a cultural gem located near Mawphlang, about 27 kilometers from Shillong in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. Spread across almost 8 acres, the village has been created to showcase the traditional lifestyle of the Khasi tribes. The village features houses built in the conventional Khasi style, complete with bedrooms, kitchens, and storehouses.
A museum within the village displays artifacts, tools, and weapons, along with traditional daily and occasional items used by the Khasis. There is also a section dedicated to archery, displaying traditional bows and arrows. Visitors can explore a long suspension bridge and an amphitheater that screens documentaries and hosts stage shows during the famous Monolith Festival.
