The Kottiyoor Reserve Forest, also known as the Kottiyoor Wildlife Sanctuary, is located in the eastern hilly areas of the Kannur district in Kerala. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 2011, it spans over 30,379 hectares and is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
The sanctuary is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including Asian elephants, tigers, leopards, gaur, Sambar deer, and numerous bird species like the Malabar grey hornbill and the Nilgiri wood pigeon.
