Kufri Zoo, also known as the Himalayan Nature Park, is a popular wildlife destination located in Kufri, approximately 16 kilometers from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Spread across about 90 hectares, the zoo is situated at an altitude of around 2,600 meters above sea level. Established in 1992, it focuses on the conservation of Himalayan wildlife and provides a natural habitat for various native species.

The zoo is home to an array of animals, including Snow Leopards, Red Pandas, Himalayan Monal Pheasants, Barking Deer, Musk Deer, Brown Bears, and Tibetan Wolves. It also features a variety of birds.

Photography opportunities are plenty, with a nominal charge for cameras. The best time to visit Kufri Zoo is from April to June and November to February. It's a great destination for families, wildlife enthusiasts, and nature lovers looking to enjoy the serene environment and see some of the rare and majestic creatures of the Himalayas.
