The Chunnimal Haveli is a historic mansion located in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. Built around 1855 by Rai Chunnamal, a wealthy merchant, it is one of the few well-preserved havelis (traditional Indian courtyard mansions) in the area.
The haveli is known for its beautiful architecture, including Belgian mirrors, ornate woodwork, and a grand courtyard.
During the Indian Rebellion of 1857, Rai Chunnamal played a significant role by preserving the Fatehpuri Masjid, a mosque that was auctioned off by the British. The haveli has also been featured in Bollywood movies like "Delhi-6" and Hollywood movies such as "Holy Smoke".
