Lalabhai Contractor Stadium (Cricket)

Lalabhai Contractor Stadium, located in Vesu, Surat, Gujarat, was established in 1993 and is owned by the Surat District Cricket Association (SDCA). It has a seating capacity of around 6,000 to 7,000 spectators. The stadium hosts domestic cricket matches like the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, and Duleep Trophy, and made its international debut during South Africa Women's cricket tour in 2019, hosting all five Women's T20 International matches of the series.

The stadium's land was donated in memory of Lalbhai Ramjibhai Contractor, an ardent cricket enthusiast and founding member of the Bombay Cricket Association. Renovations were made in 2009 to improve facilities, and the Surat District Cricket Association plans to expand seating capacity to 30,000 to make the stadium suitable for national and international level events. The pitch is known to favor batsmen, offering consistent bounce and smaller boundaries that encourage high scoring, while still assisting fast bowlers early on.

The stadium features two ends named North End and South End, and it also served as a preparation ground for the Chennai Super Kings during the Indian Premier League.
