Situated at an altitude of 4,600 feet, the lake is approximately 1,120 feet long and 240 feet wide. It is surrounded by lush green pine forests, making it a picturesque spot for nature lovers.

The lake is popular for boating, and a pathway has been constructed around it for visitors to enjoy the scenic views from different angles. There is also a small shrine dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava on the banks of the lake. A narrow jungle path connects the lake to the nearby mountain top called Mankhim, offering a beautiful hiking trail with viewpoints.

Lam Pokhri is a serene and tranquil destination, perfect for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The best time to visit is from March to May when the weather is pleasant and cool.
