Mandholi Fort
Mandholi Fort, located in the town of Mandholi in Sikar, Rajasthan, is historically known for the significant Battle of Maonda and Mandholi that took place in the mid-18th century between Rajput forces of Jaipur-Amer and Jat forces of Bharatpur, resulting in heavy casualties of around 25,000 people.
The fort, which once belonged to tribal Mina rulers before being taken over by Jat and then Tanwar Rajput rulers, stands at an altitude of about 443 meters. Though the fort is now in a dilapidated state with only walls and bases of its structure remaining, it is an important historical monument reflecting the region's turbulent past and rich heritage.
Mandholi itself is a small town roughly 90 kilometers from Jaipur, surrounded by other notable historical sites and linked to Rajasthan’s cultural legacy.
