Mollem National Park, located in South Goa, is part of the larger Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and spans about 240 square kilometers in the Western Ghats. Established as a national park in 1978, it is known for its dense tropical forests, including moist deciduous and semi-evergreen types, hosting a rich variety of flora such as Terminalia and Dalbergia trees.
The park supports diverse wildlife including leopards, Indian bison (gaur), sambar deer, wild boar, and several species of birds and reptiles. A major attraction within the park is the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, along with the historic 12th-century Tambdi Surla Temple.
