Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium (Cricket)

The Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium, also known as Sovima Cricket Stadium, is located in Sovima near Dimapur, Nagaland. It is the only cricket stadium in the northeastern Indian state of Nagaland and was inaugurated in 2012 by the Nagaland Cricket Association and the Government of Nagaland.

The stadium was built with a budget of about 10.33 crore INR and features modern facilities, including floodlights that enable it to host day-night matches. The venue also houses a branch of the National Cricket Academy, providing local players access to training and coaching without traveling far.

The stadium serves as the headquarters for the Nagaland Cricket Association and has hosted significant cricket events such as the Nagaland Cricket Association North East Twenty20 Cup. It plays a key role in developing cricket in a region where the sport was relatively new and less influenced historically. The stadium's setting near Dimapur offers a unique blend of modern cricket infrastructure within a predominantly tribal and mountainous state.
