Nanda Khat is a mountain peak in the Garhwal Himalayas, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It stands at an elevation of 6,611 meters (21,690 feet) and is situated outside the Nanda Devi Sanctuary.
The peak is positioned to the left of the Pindari Glacier and Traill's Pass, with neighboring peaks like Panwali Dwar to the left and Changuch to the right. Nanda Khat was first climbed in 1931 by Huge Ruttledge, along with Sri P.N. Choudhary and porter Pansingh. The climb involves navigating dangerous icefalls and glaciers, making it a challenging and risky expedition.
Despite the difficulties, the peak offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape, making it a coveted destination for experienced mountaineers.
