Nilgiri Parbat is a prominent peak in the Garhwal Himalayas, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It stands at an elevation of 6,474 meters (21,240 feet) and is the 91st highest peak located entirely within Uttarakhand.
The peak is known for its stunning natural beauty and challenging climbing routes. The first successful ascent of Nilgiri Parbat was made in 1937 by Frank Smythe, who navigated the southeast ridge to reach the summit. The peak is surrounded by glaciers, including the Khulia Garvia Glacier on the western side and the Ratabon Glacier on the eastern side.
The area is popular among mountaineers and trekkers who are drawn to its breathtaking landscapes and the sense of adventure it offers.
