Established in 1942 during World War II to supply vegetables to soldiers, it was later transformed into a horticultural nursery and training center.
The garden features lush greenery, colorful flower beds, a rose garden, and exotic plants such as eucalyptus and pine. Unique attractions include tree-top huts known as "hanging cottages," which are elevated 10 feet above the ground and provide a thrilling experience when swayed by the wind, along with a toy train called the Araku Express that offers scenic rides throughout the garden. The serene environment and variety of plants make Padmapuram Gardens a popular and refreshing spot for visitors to the Araku region.
