Paladhara-Panchadhara
Paladhara-Panchadhara is a beautiful scenic spot located near Srisailam in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The name "Paladhara" is derived from the Sanskrit words "pahal" (forehead) and "dhara" (stream), signifying a stream originating from the forehead of Lord Shiva. Similarly, "Panchadhara" means five streams, representing the five aspects of Lord Shiva.
The spot is known for its serene natural beauty, with several streams flowing through a narrow valley. It is believed that Sri Adi Shankaracharya meditated here in the 8th century and composed his famous work, Sivanandalahari, during his stay. Statues of Sarada Devi and Sri Adi Shankaracharya have been erected at the site.
