Pandavula Guhalu
Pandavula Guhalu, also known as Pandavula Gutta, is an ancient geological site and cave located near Kothapally village in the Regonda mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Telangana. This site is designated as the only geoheritage site in Telangana.
It is situated about 55 kilometers from Warangal.
The site is renowned for its prehistoric rock paintings, which are older than those found in the Himalayan hills. These paintings depict wild animals like bison, antelope, tiger, and various geometrical designs, including the swastika symbol. The cave was first discovered in 1990 by officials of the Archaeological Survey of India.
There is evidence of habitation from the Mesolithic period, dating back around 4,000 to 20,500 years.
