Phulhar Lake, also known as Pangaiti Phulhar Tal or Gomat Tal, is located near Madhotanda in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. It is the origin point of the Gomti River, which starts its journey here, fed by monsoons and groundwater. The lake is ecologically important, home to 12 species of turtles found in India, including seven species protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.
