Ralang New Monastery, also known as Ralong Palchen Choling, is a prominent Buddhist monastery of the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism in South Sikkim, India. Located about six kilometers from Ravangla, the monastery is renowned for its extensive collection of paintings and thangkas, which reflect the rich artistic heritage of Tibetan Buddhism.
The monastery was established in 1995 by the 12th Gyaltsab Rinpoche, retaining traditional Tibetan architectural elements while incorporating modern construction techniques. It stands as a spiritual center, attracting devotees and tourists alike.
