Reewa Ghat
Reewa Ghat, also known as Leelaram Ghat, is a lesser-known but historically significant ghat located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It is situated between Assi Ghat and Tulsi Ghat on the banks of the River Ganga. The ghat was originally constructed by Lala Misir, a family priest of the king of Punjab, Raja Ranjit Singh. Later, it was purchased by the king of Reewa in 1879, who made significant repairs and renamed it Reewa Ghat.
The ghat features a beautiful palace known as Reewa Kothi, which is now part of Banaras Hindu University and houses the students of performing arts and music. The ghat area is maintained by the Municipal Corporation and offers a peaceful environment with open spaces and tea shops.
