The Rukmini Devi Temple is located in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gujarat, about 5 kilometers from Dwarka Railway Station. This ancient temple is dedicated to Goddess Rukmini, Lord Krishna's chief queen. The temple is believed to date back to the 5th century BC, though its present form is thought to originate from the 12th century.

The temple is known for its rich carvings and sculptures of gods and goddesses on the exterior, with the main idol of Rukmini housed in the sanctum. The temple also features carved naratharas (human figures) and gajatharas (elephants) at the base of the platform.

An interesting legend surrounds the temple: it is said that sage Durvasa cursed Rukmini to live separately from Lord Krishna after she forgot to offer him water when she quenched her thirst. As a result, Rukmini spent 12 years in meditation at this location to wear off the curse.
