Sabhyata Dwar
The Sabhyata Dwar, also known as the Civilization Gate, is a sandstone arch monument located on the banks of the Ganges River in Patna, Bihar. Built with Mauryan-style architecture, it showcases the ancient glory of Pataliputra and the traditions and culture of Bihar.
The monument stands at 32 meters high, making it taller than the Gateway of India by 6 meters. It was inaugurated on May 21, 2018, by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The arches of the Dwar contain inscriptions attributed to Megasthenes, Ashoka, Buddha, and Mahavira.
The monument is part of the Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre and offers a picturesque view, especially during the evening.
