Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium (Cricket)

Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium in Salem, Tamil Nadu, established in 2020, is the largest cricket ground in the state by play area, featuring a 90-meter boundary. The stadium was developed by the Salem Cricket Foundation with support from the Salem District Cricket Association and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

It has five pitches, 12 practice turf wickets, a players pavilion, and a press box. The seating capacity is about 5,000, expandable to 25,000 for major events. The stadium includes a modern drainage system that helps refill groundwater and is home to the Chennai Super Kings' Super Kings Academy. The stadium hosts prominent tournaments such as the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), Ranji Trophy, and Duleep Trophy matches, and is expected to host Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in the near future.

The pitch is balanced for both batters and bowlers, supporting an exciting style of cricket, with little help for pacers early on and moderate turn for spinners. Matches held here show an even split between wins by teams batting first and second. The venue has quickly become a key cricketing hub for the region, blending modern facilities with significant cricketing activity and development programs.
